Editorial Policy
This policy describes how Rubrilyn's editorial work is done, checked and corrected. Everything on this site is published by the Rubrilyn Editorial Team.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team alone. Vendors cannot review articles before publication, cannot request changes to rankings, and cannot pay for a better position in any comparison. Sponsors may buy clearly labelled placements; those placements never alter editorial picks. See /disclosure/ for the full funding disclosure.
How picks are made
A comparison starts with a defined buyer and a defined use case, for example family law firms of 1 to 25 lawyers choosing case management software. We list the products that plausibly serve that buyer, compare them against published scoring criteria (see /how-we-score/), and select 5 to 8 products that represent the range of real choices, from budget entries to full-featured platforms.
We do not rank by price alone. A cheaper product with missing conflict checks, weak security, or hidden implementation fees can finish below a pricier product that fits the buyer's stated needs.
How often pages are re-checked
Money pages, meaning any page that discusses prices, plans or purchase decisions, are re-checked at least every 45 days. Each such page carries a "last verified" date. When a vendor changes a plan, a price or a feature limit, we update the page and note the change in its change log.
Corrections
When we get a fact wrong, we fix it. Readers can report errors through /contact/. A correction that changes a price, a plan detail or a ranking is corrected promptly and noted in the page's change log with the date of the fix. Typographical fixes are not logged.
Use of AI in our work
We use AI tools to help draft articles and to organise research notes. AI never publishes on its own. An editor checks every fact, every price and every claim against its source before publication. If a claim cannot be traced to a source we can name, it does not appear on this site.
No paid editorial ranks
No position in a ranking, no "best for" label and no inclusion in a comparison can be purchased. This applies to every page we publish, including sponsored content, which is labelled "Sponsored" and separated from editorial comparisons.
